Just Kidding! It Looks Like Lufkin JCPenney Isn’t Closing For Good

You might have heard that the JCPenney in the Lufkin Mall was closing for good. You may have even seen people holding the "Store Closing" signs in front of the mall. You may have even gone to the JCPenney website only to see the Lufkin Mall location listed as one of the stores that was set to close for good.

Don't worry, you weren't the only one. I had seen all these things too. However, over the weekend, I began to see some posts on Facebook that were saying that JCPenney wasn't closing. Of course, I didn't think too much of it, considering that it was on social media.

But, I kept seeing posts about it. It kept coming up in my feed again and again. So, today, I decided to look a bit deeper into it. I even went to the JCPenney website again. This is what I saw:

Do you notice what's NOT on that list? The Lufkin Mall JCPenney location. It seems as if the Lufkin JCP will live on as one of the anchor stores in the mall. And, I can't say that I'm upset with that. It always looks better to have a space filled, than to be standing vacant, right?
