“Methamphetamines!” Lamb of God bassist John Campbell hilariously said while recounting the band’s recent guitar theft. Campbell and guitarist Willie Adler aren’t too bent out of shape about it, thankfully, laughing at the three suspects’ mugshots during our recent interview with the musicians.

Last month, Lamb of God’s ‘Warbird’ guitar and a hand-painted bass were stolen in Phoenix, Ariz. After one axe went up for sale online and the other was unsuccessfully pawned, three men were arrested and their mugshots went viral.

“I’ve been told that the detective on the case is confidant [the guitars] will turn up sooner than later,” Adler says. “Probably in a Dumpster or behind a drug dealer’s couch somewhere,” Campbell adds.

“I couldn’t have dreamt up a better dream team,” Adler says about the mugshot photos.

As for Lamb of God’s highly anticipated next album, the guys say it’s their current number one priority. “We’re about to have a little bit of down time. As soon as we get some time in between these tours and after these tours, that will be the focus. I’m super comfortable where we’re at in the writing that’s been done so far,” the guitarist shares.
