Live Improv Comedy In Downtown Tyler August 24

Not only is East Texas growing by leaps and bounds when it comes to live music, art, and culinary endeavors, we even have our own local comedy troupes. One such group you may have heard of, and rightly so, is Card 53.

I have so much respect for those who endeavor to make people laugh. I mean, sometimes life is just so difficult and gets a bit heavy at times. So, the people who put themselves on a stage and make us smile get plenty of kudos from me. And these folks get extra kudos. If you've never had a chance to go see them, make a night of it and do something a bit different.

Coming up on August 24 at downtown Tyler's Liberty Hall is Card 53's latest LIVE IMPROV comedy night at 8 p.m. According to their page, "you never know what will happen at a Card 53 show. [They] don’t either!The laughs are all made up on the spot plus free beer and wine!" 

On top of that, their "makemups" are based off of the suggestions of the audience. Now, they do their best to keep things "clean-ish," but obviously due to the nature of comedy, please be aware. Comedy can be unpredictable. However, the aim is to keep it as "clean" as possible.
