Madhatter Distillery has been open at 403 East Hospital Street in Nacogdoches since March 2025. Since then, they've doubled the size of their shop, been a huge part of several different events downtown, and more. Now, they've announced something even bigger.

Madhatter Distillery is Becoming Remedy 403

According to a post on the Madhatter Distillery Facebook page, the distillery as Nacogdoches has come to know it will be no more. They are literally changing from Madhatter Distillery to Remedy 403.

Up to this point, they've specialized in craft cocktails that were manufactured in-house. According to the post that I mentioned earlier, they plan to add beer and wine selections to their menu. They are also in the process of adding a mixed beverage permit, which will allow them to add drinks to their menu that weren't manufactured in-house.

Among all of the big changes mentioned above is the fact that they will not be distilling and manufacturing their own spirits. They are doing this so that they can focus "on creating a bigger, better drinking experience for you."

Timeline for Remedy 403 Change

As of right now, there are no definitive times listed for these changes to take place. It just mentions that in mid-November they planned to have the mixed beverage permit, and that "over the next few months, you may notice a few subtle changes happening around 403 E. Hospital Street."

It is encouraging to know that they aren't just shutting down and going away. Yes, this will be different. No, it won't be what people have gotten used to. However, the same crew will still be around. Be sure and keep an eye out for the new Remedy 403 changes in Nacogdoches.
