Every year the Garden Capital of Texas Club puts on the Tour of Home Gardens in Nacogdoches. Several homes with exceptional gardens are selected and - with purchased tickets - people can tour the gardens that are on full display. This year, the Tour of Home Gardens will take place over two days.

Tour of Home Gardens 2026 Details

There are seven gardens featured this year, and with the exception of a few similarities, each one has its own unique design and featured plants. See below for location details:

  • 2900 Colonial Drive, owned by Judi and Jeff Kruwell
  • 275 Harris Street, Casa Colina
  • 3516 Churchill Drive, owned by Kristen and Shannon Conklin
  • 1974 CR 104, owned by Jackie and Jeff Badders
  • 515 N. Mound Street, The Old University Building
  • 3330 Windsor Drive, owned by Dwayne Yeager
  • 725 Crooked Creek, owned by Barbara and Bill Gandy

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased in a variety of ways. They can be purchased in-person at any of the featured gardens on either day of the tour, or they can be found and purchased online here.

Something else to keep in mind is that this is a rain or shine event, so there will not be a cancellation due to inclement weather. As someone that has gone to this event before, the gardens that were featured were worth going to, even in the rain. I don't think this year would be any different.

The SFA Gardens are always sought after areas for photo ops. Once the leaves change for fall, they go to a whole new level, making photos even more breathtaking.
