I know that I talk a lot about Texas pride. That's not going to change anytime soon. I'm quite proud to be a Texan. Whether I'm talking about Deep East Texas, Texas Hill Country, West Texas, and all the other places across the Lone Star State, I'll gladly claim them all.

Well, it just so happens that there is a day specifically for the fans of Texas like me, and it's coming up soon. Are you ready for this?

National Texas Day is February 1st

According to the National Day Calendar, February 1st is designated as National Texas Day. Apparently, this has been a thing since 2017...How have I not heard about it???

Even though we don't need a specific day to celebrate all things Texas, this is a day to review Texas history, Texas heroes, Texas attractions, Texas cuisine, Texas...EVERYTHING!

Now, keep in mind, this is not to be confused with Texas Independence Day - that's next month, and I'll definitely be celebrating it, too. (That day takes place on March 2nd, so go ahead and put that one on your calendar, too!)

How Can You Celebrate National Texas Day?

There are tons of ways that you can celebrate National Texas Day. Obviously, if you're in Texas already, it's much easier to go to Texas places like parks and attractions - I'm thinking of places like the Alamo, Pedernales Falls State Park, NASA, etc.

However, just because you're not in the Lone Star State currently doesn't mean you can't celebrate as well! So, buy yourself a case of Dr Pepper and a pint of Blue Bell Ice Cream and celebrate!

Need some more ideas on how to celebrate? We've got you covered!

Whether you're a Texas native, Texas-transplant, or you're just a fan of the Lone Star State, there are lots of ways you can celebrate National Texas Day.
