It’s Back! New Chick-Fil-A Nacogdoches Location Is Officially Open!

After two weeks of no Chick-Fil-A in Nacogdoches, the wait ended yesterday with the grand opening of the new location on North Street. And the public showed up in full force for it.

Demolition / Construction Started at the New Location in July

Back in July, demo crews converged on the site of what used to be Hastings to tear down the old building. At that point, we had only heard the very beginning talks about Chick-Fil-A moving from their location further down North Street. So, the watching and waiting began.

In no time at all, the building was demolished, and the framework began on a brand-new building.

Chick-Fil-A Closed Completely on December 6th

In preparation for the new location, Chick-Fil-A closed completely on December 6th. This gave their team time to train and get the new location ready for the grand opening on December 18th.

Technically, I think that the CFA location in the SFA Baker Patillo Student Center was open - at least until after graduation - but there was still a time when you couldn't get Chick-Fil-A in Nacogdoches at all. Some people would consider that a pretty rough time for the Oldest Town in Texas...

The Waiting Ended on December 18th

Thursday, December 18, 2025, the waiting for the new Chick-Fil-A Nacogdoches location ended, and it ended in massive fashion. They opened up and people flooded the new store for the grand opening festivities.

There were multiple Chick-Fil-A cows walking around for photo ops, there were balloons and decorations all over the place. It was a huge ordeal. So, naturally, we had to make our way over there to see what the fuss was all about - like we didn't already know...
