Now Accepting Guests: New Holiday Inn Express Opens in Nacogdoches

Well, it's official. Nacogdoches now has a brand-new hotel on its list for travelers to choose. I've been watching them work on this one for months - from clearing the land, to laying the foundation, to erecting the building itself, to opening.

This newest hotel is actually a Holiday Inn Express by IHG, and it's located at the intersection of South Street and SE Stallings Drive - 3211 South Street in Nacogdoches, to be exact. Here's what it looks like:

Previous Holiday Inn Express is Now La Quinta

Before you say, "Wait, I thought there was already one of those on South Street..." Let me stop you right there. There was, and it looked like this:

So, what happened was that the brand-new Holiday Inn Express was built just north of this original location, and when it opened - instead of having two locations open that close to each other, a La Quinta moved into the one you see above.

As far as size goes, I'm not sure how the new location compares to the previous one. To the naked eye - mine at least - it looks smaller in square footage, but the extra story might make up for the number of rooms. Again, I'm not real sure.

What I do know is that this makes eight hotels on South Street, in less than a one mile radius. If someone can't find a hotel there...well, I'm not sure what the problem is. The options are there, and now there's a brand new one to add to that list!
