Put A Smack Down on Alzheimer’s
Sigma Kappa Omega (SKO) is partnering with the National Alzheimer’s Association to raise proceeds to find a cure for Alzheimer’s. Smack Down on Alzheimer’s is tomorrow night Tuesday, April 30th at Fredonia Hotel starting at 7:00pm. The event is for those 18 and up.
It’ll be a night of fun with an amateur inflatable boxing tournament, human Foosball, food, cash bar, raffle prizes, photo booths, and more. Tickets are $15 with an SFA ID, $20 for those who want to participate in the tournament, and $25 for general admission (non-participants).
“It’s supposed to be a good time for those all around. We want to make it an annual event that the people of Nacogdoches can look forward to, “ says Alison Baran, Sigma Kappa Omega’s philanthropy chair. “We already have several town officials lined up to judge the bracket system, and a few big prizes at the end.”
The prizes include TVs, PlayStations, and other cool items. Bring money for the event and your FUN self. If you want to compete, spots are filling up quickly so follow the Facebook event and get in contact with one of the team members, letting them know you’re interested. It’s 5 people max per team and you’ll only be going against those in your weight class once you sign up for the preliminaries.
Tickets will be sold at the door and through SKO affiliates. Come out and join the fight against Alzheimer’s. For more information call 281-961-5996 or go through the Facebook event page named “Smack Down Alzheimer’s”
