Reports at press time are still sketchy, but yet another act of random violence has targeted what many people believe is one our most sacred institutions - school.

Taft Union High School in Taft, California, is located about 30 miles from Bakersfield in the southern part of the state.  All that is known thus far - the incident occurred around 11 a.m. (Central Time), one person is in custody, and two people were reported injured while the school remains in lock-down status.

California has had a recent rash of independent violent acts when you consider the killings at a So Cal salon in October 2011, followed by shootings at Oikos University in Oakland in April last year, followed by an attack on an L.A. fire extinguisher business in October 2012.
