The Complete 2026-27 Lineup for the Upcoming SFA University Series

SFA is pretty good about bringing entertaining acts to Nacogdoches for their University Series. Everything from musicals, to concerts, to comedians, they usually have great talent. Their upcoming lineup for the 2026-27 season is no exception.

SFA's 2026-27 University Series Lineup Announced

According to a press release from SFA website on August 3rd, this season's University Series' theme is "A Season in Harmony" and features all different kinds of performances. It all kicks off on September 24th with a performance from The Fabulous Thunderbirds, which will be a tribute to the Chicago blues music style.

From there, there will be five more shows, with either one or two months in between each one. There will be a couple of different Christmas shows, one in November titled Will Hearn's "Grand Ol' Christmas Show", and one in December featuring Christie Dashiell, a grammy-nominated jazz singer.

In January, the University Series will change things up a bit, with stand-up comedian Pete Lee performing. He has been featured on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", "Last Comic Standing", and others.

In February, Jon Lampley will be taking the stage. He is a trumpet and sousaphone player that is, "Known for blending jazz, soul, gospel and contemporary roots music." He has performed on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert".

The University Series will wrap up in April with magician Zak Mirz in what they call "an interactive magic performance." He is a winner of the "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" competition, as well as an "America's Got Talent" semifinalist.

All of the performances will be held in Turner Auditorium, in the Griffith Fine Arts Building. They will also all be held at 7:30 PM each night. See below for complete dates:
