It is time once again to fall back and get back on regular time. You will notice that it will start getting darker sooner once the change is made.

The time change this year will be on Sunday, (It's always on a Sunday) November 7th at 2 am. Basically at 2 am it will be 1 am.

This is the "good" time change if there is a good one. This is where we will get back our hard-earned hour of extra sleep.

Colder Weather Coming

Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, a much-needed cold front is coming into our area. As of right now, we are unseasonably warm here in East Texas. Expect some rain and high winds in our area that day.

The Earth tilts away from the sun this time of year, so the days in our hemisphere of the globe are getting shorter.  That means that winter is not far behind.

Though we are scheduled to have a dryer and warmer winter in Deep East Texas, forecasters can't rule out an isolated severe weather event. Just like last year, if it happens it will be when you least expect it.

La Nina Watch

NOAA has issued another La Nina watch for this winter, and the weather pattern is expected to continue until 2022. That means a warm, dry winter and continued drought conditions.

Just like last year, it doesn't rule out a repeat of a deep freeze. It's just not very likely, since conditions are less than favorable.

For now the time change is only a man-made construct. It will be a few months before mother nature gets in on the show.
