I've updated everyone a few times about what is going on at the build site of Texas Roadhouse in the Lufkin Mall parking lot. I assume since I drive by there most everyday, I know when big things are happening. All of this is just a way to get a better idea of when they will be opening their doors.

When I search their website, our Lufkin location still doesn't show up. If you go deeper you can find in their other sites, that they are hiring for the Lufkin store, so you know they know that you know...it's coming soon.

Today for the first time I saw the signs up on the building and slowed down for a quick picture. Since the last time I did a story on the progress, they have made a lot of progress. The dry in has happened, and all the windows are up. I saw multiple Encore vehicles there one day, when there wasn't a storm, and they seemed to be actively getting it hooked up to power.

So now we have most everything it takes cosmetically to finally say "That's a Texas Roadhouse." Every detail is coming into place, the flags have been up on top of the structure for weeks as well.

What follows is just speculation, but they are for sure on track to open up this summer, at some point. If you know exactly when, and are an all knowing insider, please let me know, and I will update this with anything I find out.
