So, as I was driving to work the other day, I saw a for sale sign out in front of a property. I know, riveting stuff, right? But, it wasn't the sign itself that caught my attention, so much as how the seller promoted the piece of property on the sign.

I need to apologize now, because I didn't get a picture of this sign for you to see yourself, so at this point you'll need to use your imagination to paint the picture of the sign in your head. I promise, it's not that difficult.

This sign read just like this:

"For Sale: 1 LARGE Acre"

Like I said, nothing to exciting or out of the ordinary here, right? Until you start to think about it...1 acre - large, small, medium, whatever - is a measurement. If it's one acre, it's going to be the same. It's just like saying, "One LONG Mile". It doesn't change. It's still going to have 5,280 feet in it. Any less, and it wouldn't be considered a mile. Any extra, and it'd be considered OVER a mile.

I know this sounds like a simple thing, and I suppose it is. However, the acre is still going to be - or at least SHOULD be - the same size, regardless of what adjective you put in front of it. I suppose this is just an attempt from the seller to make the deal seem just a tad better. You know, the thought process of, "Oh, I'm not just getting a regular acre. I'm getting a LARGE acre."

Have you seen any signs like this? If you have, let us know in the comments below. If you could shoot us a picture of those signs, it'd be even better!
