Hip Hop biopics have become the rage since the success of "Straight Outta Compton" and others. Now, the life story of a Texas hip hop legend that produced an entire new genre of music will be getting the big screen treatment.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures along with veteran commercial director Isaac Yowman are developing a a biopic of musician and producer DJ Screw. The working title for now is "All Screwed Up" and it will be made in participation with DJ Screw's family.

DJ Screw, a Texas LEGEND, worked as a DJ in the '90s and gained regional and worldwide acclaim for his "chopped and screwed" tapes, which has gone on to influence many artists in Houston's hip hop community. He was 29 years old when he died in 2000 but his musical influence lives on to this day.

Production of "All Screwed Up" is set to begin early next year but no details on when it will be completed or released but we will keep you posted on when it drops.
