Last night while scrolling through Facebook, I came across something that gives me hope that at least some of our cell phone dead zones might be going away.
It's not just texting and driving that Austin is banning, but talking on the cell phone in the car too if the phone is up to the ear. And if a police officer catches drivers or bicyclists tapping on an app while moving, they can be cited.
Hands-free devices are okay, but even mobile devices like iPads and other tablets fall under the ban now.
What about sitting at stoplights?
Because of the growth spurt and access to technology in recent years, we have brand new ways to drive people nuts.
We know texting and driving is totally taboo and we should never, under any circumstances, do it. What about texting and parking? Huge new pet peeve.
