The Angelina College Fire Academy celebrated its most recent graduates with a ceremony as 22 cadets received their designations as certified firefighters.

Firefighters are athletes! It takes some focused agility to lug those thick uniforms and clunky boots around while working wonders with a hose, and we'll get to see the best of the best do their thing at a the Firefighter Combat Challenge in Tyler next month.

This isn't your average firefighter hero story. There's a firefighter in Addison, north of Dallas, that is making headlines for saving a dog's life by giving it CPR.  For 25 or 30 minutes!  Check out this amazing story.

We've always known firefighters were heroes, but recently a few in East Texas were given that exact title officially. The Lufkin Fire Department Honor Guard was recognized last week at the Texas State Forest Festival during the "Hometown Heroes" event.
