Heavy rainfall is moving across the Deep East Texas area on this Wednesday. Severe storms have also been noted by the National Weather Service. We will use this site to keep you up to date with weather watches and warnings, road issues, as well as area rainfall totals.
With a week of high rain chances and heavy flooding for Harvey-impacted parts of the state, the Texas Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau are sending the reminder to retailers that they can't hike the price too much on necessary items. If you see that happening, you can report it.
So far in 2017, sunlight in Deep East Texas has been a little tough to find. The good news is that Friday should bring us a sunny day, the bad news is that about 4 inches of rain could fall between now and that sunshine.
It looks like East Texas is in for a '1-2 weather punch' over the next several days as a series of storms is expected to bring the possibility of severe storms and multiple heavy downpours.

Heavy rain and severe storms should spread throughout the East Texas area on Tuesday. In fact, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch which is in effect Tuesday from 6 AM until Midnight.
