So, how much money do you make? Compared to much of the country, Texas is filthy rich, and things are only going to get better.

Texas ranks 27th on the list that highlights real costs of smoking, and some of these numbers are unbelievable! If you've never wanted to kick the habit before,  the idea that you could have a million dollars leftover might be just what you need.  Holy....um, smokes.

Every state has cities where the money seems to flow more easily than others, and the spot in Texas that has the most trouble getting on its financial feet is in the southern tip, near McAllen and Brownsville. In other words, there IS opportunity in Tyler and Longview.  We're not the richest cities in Texas, but not the poorest either.

Credit.com recently named Nacogdoches the 8th poorest city in America, using data from the US Census Bureau.

US Census numbers are helping define what exactly it means to be "Middle Class."  That's always been a term to describe families who aren't rich but aren't poor, but the amount of money a family has to earn to keep that description is changing.
