The 2016 Christmas Parade has come and gone. We kicked off the Christmas season right with our annual tradition, and here's some pictures from the celebration.

The City of Lufkin, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1836, and the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau are proud to host the Pineywoods Veterans Celebration on November 5th, with a parade beginning at 10 A.M. in downtown Lufkin.
Rather than spend Thanksgiving weekend at home eating too much and stringing up Christmas lights, maybe a road trip to one of these fun Texas events would be a better idea. And we can still eat too much. Yay!
I'm glad I went to the Veteran's Day parade in downtown Lufkin on Saturday. The 9th annual event was full of traditional pomp and circumstance, but rightfully so, with the emphasis on those who served and are currently serving our country.
