The three members of Spinal Tap and the director of the 1984 movie about the fictional band are involved in a very real lawsuit.

'This Is Spinal Tap' co-creator Harry Shearer, who played bassist Derek Smalls in the mockumentary, has filed a $125 million lawsuit for unpaid royalties.

The Thamesmen, featuring future members of Spinal Tap, released "Gimme Some Money" b/w "Cups and Cakes" as their first – and only – single.

The film began as an earnest attempt to chronicle the legendary band’s triumphant comeback tour of America.

Anyone who has ever seen 'This Is Spinal Tap' knows it's funny as all hell.
