It does get hot in Texas!

If you thought that we were through with hot temperatures here in Deep East Texas for the year, think again.

Those are triple-digit temperatures. TRIPLE. DIGIT. TEMPERATURES.

By Sunday, our high temperature is predicted to be 99°. But, that's two days away. What if that forecast changes a bit?

This morning when I woke up - in Nacogdoches - the temperature was 41°. Forty. One. Degrees. In. April.

As I'm writing this, the temperature outside is already at 75°. We're more than halfway through November, and temperatures are still that high.

We have officially made it through three-quarters of the year. However, you can't tell that by the temperatures.

We're in September, people. Fall starts this month. Yet, we're still sitting at temperatures above 100º.

Let me start off by saying this: I am not a meteorologist, in any way. I don't even pretend to be one. However, I can still make weather predictions.

Texas has 15 of the 30 hottest cities in the US, with more than 100 days each year above 90. Ouch! The hottest city in America has average temps of 106 in July.  Any guess what city that is?  And see what Lufkin's average summer temp should be.
