A tornado watch is in effect for much of Deep East Texas until 8 this evening.

Here's a summary of the National Weather Service's findings on the Northeast Texas tornado that traveled from Lake Hawkins towards Gilmer Lake.

Lufkin, Nacogdoches and much of the Pineywoods are at risk of significant severe weather including EF2+ tornadoes on Saturday. A Tornado Watch has been issued for Angelina and Nacogdoches Counties through Friday evening.

This is scary. Forecasters are basically guaranteeing a massive tornado outbreak on Wednesday, with some twisters reaching EF3+ status.

Strong tornadoes with 111+ mph winds and golf ball sized hail are expected with this 'Significant Severe Weather' outbreak.

13 counties in east and southeast Texas are included in the tornado watch which continues until 7 p.m.
