Can you imagine how nice it would be to simply walk a few steps and plop down on a sandy beach and relax in front of a lapping lagoon right here in East Texas?
Sure it's great to jet off to an exotic location in the summertime and sit by a resort swimming pool and sip beverages with umbrellas in them. But since Hawaii is not on everyone's agenda or in all of our budgets, we've come up with some other ideas to have fun closer to home, and maybe discover some cool places in East Texas that you didn't know existed.
It's vacation season and gas prices are low enough that the trip won't have to be cancelled because of that, so where are you headed? My family is going to Austin for a long weekend around the 4th of July, and then later in the summer we're going to see family in Nebraska. Exciting, I know.
