If you're a military veteran, it's all about you this weekend, and rightfully so. With Veteran's Day on Sunday, several East Texas restaurants are planning to offer freebies and deals to say thanks.

If you're a Veteran who travels across Texas a lot, this could save you quite a bit of money. Starting November 1, you won't have to pay any more tolls on certain roads as long as you register your license plate with the state.

My dad is a US Navy veteran, and he loves to fly the flag outside his house several days each year. The most important day to him might be on Flag Day, June 14th. Most of us have no idea why today is so significant. Do you?

Next Saturday, December 17th, volunteers will get together to lay wreaths on the graves of veterans across the country, and several East Texas cemeteries will be part of it. Here's how you can volunteer.

Pop is Navy Veteran that served in Vietnam, and he's learned that the other veterans in our family served in the Civil and Revolutionary Wars.  I bet you've got these veterans in your family too.

The City of Lufkin, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1836, and the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau are proud to host the Pineywoods Veterans Celebration on November 5th, with a parade beginning at 10 A.M. in downtown Lufkin.
