Tax Day Is On It’s Way – Are You Ready?
Every year, we as American have to take time out of our schedule to sit down and do our taxes. Whether you do it yourself on paper (OLD SCHOOL), use a personal online service, or go and have them done for you, we all have to get our taxes done. It's just a fact of life. Have you already done yours?
Taxes are due this year on April 18th. Like last year, this gives you more time to make sure that they're done right...or more time to procrastinate, whichever one applies more to you.
I want to hear from you guys, though.
First off, how many of you do your own taxes? I know a few people that don't trust some third party to handle their important documents and information, so they just handle all the responsibility of doing taxes themselves. Are you one of those people?
Second, if you DO happen to file your own taxes, do you do them by hand? Or, perhaps you prefer using a program such as Turbo Tax to get the job done. From my understanding, Turbo Tax makes taxes a much easier process than handwriting everything that's required on the tax papers.
Last, how do you FEEL about doing your taxes? Yes, I know that that may seem like a stupid question, but I don't think of it that way. Are taxes something that you absolutely dread doing? Or, maybe you look forward to doing them because of the refund that you're anticipating? Or, perhaps you just don't feel one way or another. You know, it's an inconvenience, but it's not absolutely awful, so you can put up with it.
Hopefully, as you've read and thought about these questions, it's lit a fire under you to get taxes done. Whether your going old school and writing them out by hand, or your going online to use a service to get them done, THEY HAVE TO BE DONE.
April 18th is your deadline. You know your mission. Best of luck to you all.
