It's stunning that on any given day, a new State law can pass, and we may never, ever hear about it.  Unless of course, it makes a cameo television appearance, or has three lines appearing on page 7 of the local newspaper.

Case in point, was a bill approved by the 83rd Texas Legislature, allowing students with proper licenses to keep guns in their vehicles on college campuses.

The bill drafted by Glenn Hegar of Katy didn't exactly fly through the House and Senate, however, the House acceptance was easier.  The holdup in the Senate stemmed from those whom wanted to insure that the draft did not extend to carrying firearms ON campus.  Governor Perry is expected to put the finishing touches on this bill, officially making it law.

I know you will sleep better tonight knowing that I have brought this to your attention.
