The Time Has Come! MarTeres Tea Room In Lufkin, Texas Is Now Taking Reservations

MarTeres Tea Room has announced that its reopening day is November 11th, 2021. They also announced that they will be taking reservations for that opening day starting now.

If you want to be one of the very first people back, call now and make that reservation. The phone number is (936) 875-6200. The menu will stay the same, so you already know what you are going to eat right?

The MarTeres Tea Room recently had a contest on their Facebook page. They gave away a chance to go to their soft opening ahead of the re-grand opening on November 11th, 2021. They also hinted that there would be more chances to win on their page again soon.

Hours and Food 

MarTeres is back thanks to the new owner, Shan Mathis. She is the one that has continually vowed to continue serving the same great food.

We have been without chicken salad sandwiches, chicken spaghetti, quiche, and almond tea for over four months. Don't worry, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

They will be open Tuesday - Friday from 11 am - 2 pm once they reopen. They were also looking for kitchen staff earlier this month. If you are looking for a job with great hours check their Facebook page for the link.

Back in 2019 MarTeres made our list of restaurants that we would miss the most if they went away. There is much love for the restaurant still. Even though they have been closed, they have not been forgotten.

Customers have been waiting anxiously to find out what would happen. The withdrawals are real for many of their fans.

History 

MarTeres opened its doors in April of 2002. Teresa and Margret poured their heart and soul into the restaurant.

Everyone loved their unique cuisine. They were only open Monday - Friday for lunch, which made it very exclusive and a tradition for many in Lufkin, Hudson, and the surrounding area.

They closed their doors for the last time Friday, June 18th of 2021, and thankfully this was not permanent.  We are all excited about a new chapter for the restaurant coming very soon.
