Los Angeles post-hardcore mainstays Touche Amore are back with an urgent new track called "Deflector," produced by none other than nu-metal heavyweight Ross Robinson (Slipknot, Korn, Limp Bizkit). The fresh tune from the hard-working act leads a limited edition vinyl single available for pre-order now.

As echoed in the cut's anxious lyrics, Touche Amore sought new sonic territory following their deeply personal fourth album, 2016's Stage Four. That quest for a musical challenge led to the recruitment of Robinson as the intense song's producer, and the tune was captured in a small basement studio in Atwater Village, California, using Robinson's signature analog recording style. Listen to "Deflector," and see its accompanying single's artwork and track listing, down toward the bottom of this post.

"This time around, we need to take a chance with the unfamiliar. Someone who would take us out of our comfort zone," Touche Amore singer Jeremy Bolm explained. "Enter Ross Robinson. A man who knows no comfort zone. I followed his career all through my youth to being a young adult. When we returned from our recent Midwest tour, we entered the studio to record a song with Ross and see if there was chemistry…"

Take a listen to see if Touche Amore's dive into the unknown pays off. As indicated above, "Deflector" will be included with the previously released "Green" on a 7" single in olive green with white splatter available here. The group hit the road in the U.S. later this year with La Dispute — see those tour dates below.
