Where Are The “Haunted Places” In Nacogdoches?
Every town has its own stories of weird happenings, or supernatural places. There seem to always be so-called haunted places. And, I'm sure that Nacogdoches has a few stories. It's the oldest town in Texas. There's no way that it doesn't have some ghost stories that have been passed down at some point.
The only ones that I can name are on the SFA campus. One is the Stone Fort Museum. The story about it, is that students that come in there before they graduate won't graduate. I think I've got that right. There might be a bit more to it. If you know, feel free to let me know.
The other one is Mast Hall. I'm talking about one of the dorms on campus. I don't know what the story is behind it, but it's always mentioned in hushed tones when it's brought up in conversation.
And that's the extent of my knowledge of "haunted places" in Nacogdoches. I'm thinking that with all of the cemeteries, and all of the old abandoned buildings and structures that are around town, there has to be quite a few ghost stories that have made their rounds over the years.
What are some ones that you know, or that you've at least heard? Do you know of any "haunted places" or "ghost stories" from Nacogdoches? Let us know in the comment section below!
