“Deep Purple’s” Jon Lord Dies at 71 [VIDEO]

Very sad news to report.

Close your eyes and "retro" fit your way back to 1972.  Remember when Deep Purple's Machine Head album debuted with the big smasher "Smoke On The Water" blazing on to the AM radio scene?

We lost hard rockin' keyboardist Jon Lord on July 16.  It was Lord's powerful driving tones that turned Deep Purple, and later, Whitesnake, into household names.

He formed 'Purple' in '68, and you can still hear his work right here on Classic Rock Q107 and on line at Q1077.com
