Due to the pandemic in 2020, the Zoo Boo at Ellen Trout Zoo was completely canceled. In 2021 they replaced the Zoo Boo with Hallo-Weekend and it was during the day.

Now for 2022, the great return to normal has led to a revival of this much-loved children's event at the Ellen Trout Zoo. This is always a great time and it gives kids a safe place to trick or treat and get some guaranteed candy before Halloween.

Take your kid's costumes on their maiden voyage to the wildest place in Lufkin. They could even win prizes in the costume contest.

Zoo Boo Is Back At The Ellen Trout Zoo In Lufkin, Texas

Halloween is celebrated at the Ellen Trout Zoo with the Zoo Boo on two different nights. This will give you two chances to get out and enjoy the zoo, so you won't miss it.

My favorite part of Zoo Boo is that you get to be at the zoo after hours. This is one of the few times you can see the zoo at night. Some of the animals are just more alert at night, and that makes it pretty special.

Attend with the kids on Friday, October 21st or Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 from 6 pm to 8 pm. The costume contest is happening both nights.
