Are You Afraid Of Friday The 13th? We Dare You To Attend The Nacogdoches Texas Film Festival!

Friggatriskaideaphobia (pronounced FRE-ga-TRISK-uh-DECK-uh-PHO-b-UH) is one of two official words that describes the fear of the number 13!  Let's just say the other word begins with a "P", and I cannot spell it, let alone pronounce it, correctly.

Are you aware of some of the folklore associated with Friday the 13th?:

• It's been said that there are 13 steps that lead to the gallows (EEK), and 13 knots of a hangman's noose (YIKES).
• In 1970, Apollo 13 was the 13th mission to be launched from Pad 39 (13x3).  It left the launching pad on April 13th at 1313 hours.  The mission aborted due to an explosion.
• When was the last time you exited the elevator on the 13th floor?
• Remember the Costa Concordia cruise ship that partially sank off the coastline of Italy this year?  The date -- FRIDAY, January 13th.
