Bret Michaels and I had a moment on Saturday night.  He has dreamy eyes!

Did anyone make the drive to the Rock'n Valentine's Festival at the Oil Palace in Tyler that night?  I was glad I did.

I thought Bret was truly amazing!  And not just because I was up front hanging on the stage and locked eyes with him as he sang four or five bars of Fallen Angel.  We stared into each other's eyes and had a Valentine's moment!  Overall I thought he had a great energy about him, and he's the type of artist that has a blast on stage and that keeps the crowd engaged.  And he tells good stories, about coming from a family of veterans and doing what he can to help military causes.  What a good dude.

I kept hearing backstage from roadies and tour managers that Bret would take the stage on "Bret time" and that there was no real set schedule with him.  He took the stage about 11pm, and that seemed to be okay with everybody.  The few thousand of us there just wanted our Bret!  He flew in on a private jet just before showtime, and probably flew out just as quickly.  I love it when big stars with lots of privileges are still down to earth and genuinely nice people.  Bret Michaels is that guy!

And doesn't he look a little angelic sometimes?
