Tuesday, between 4 and 6 pm, NFL running back, full back, and former Lufkin Panther, Jorvorskie Lane stopped by and hooked people up with much needed school supplies as part of his LaneofHope movement.

What's making all these hometown superstars give back to our community? Maybe it's best not to look a gift horse in the mouth, and just be appreciative that they still think of us at all.

This was a really great gesture, coming off the heels of Dez Bryant's spontaneous visit, where he bought the community around 20k in BBQ, and played kickball with the locals.

Jorvorskie Lane's gift to the community certainly is a great way to inspire the kids that look up to him , as well as show the importance of school.

We can't commend these athletes enough, and we can't ask for more, although a few jokers were asking Lane where the BBQ was in his Facebook feed.
