Happy Halloween! I took this pic of my 5-year old, Finley, last weekend at a church event where crazy adults enjoyed dressing up just as much as the kids did. I've seen LOTS of Monsters Inc. costumes so far this year.

If you have kids and you want to Trick-or-Treat with them in Lufkin, Nac or places in between, how do you manage to pass out candy as well?  Just forget the trick-or-treaters that might come to you door and leave the light off?I bought bags and bags of Twix, Snickers, Dum Dums, and Nerds to pass out to trick-or-treaters tonight, and we're not even going to be home! That wasn't so smart. Since I'll be out with the kids going door-to-door, I'll just leave the candy in a dish on a TV tray outside the front door, with a nice little note that says, "Please help yourself to two pieces of candy." And if those grubby little ninja and butterfly fingers grab it all, I don't care! I got rid of it! The kids will be bringing home plenty.

Kids, remember these words of wisdom tonight from moms everywhere. Have fun, be safe, and remember, you are collecting candy not just for yourself, but for your mother too. Mama likes Whoopers!

Happy Halloween everyone.
