Attention East Texas:

Be on the lookout for nearly $4,000 worth of taxidermied animals that were stolen from a Lufkin building under construction in the 1900 block of Denman Avenue.

The items missing included a shoulder mounted whitetail deer, white haired longhorn bull, black bear skin rug, and "six by six" elk.

Police believe that the stuffed animals were the only targets, as nothing else was reported missing.

So, if you are invited to a BBQ on Saturday, and someone begins nonchalantly chatting about the big score, and then insists you feel the authentic fur of "Yogi" or "Boo-Boo", you may be on your way to collecting a cash reward of up to $2,000!

Can you identify the perpetrators?  Call "Crime Stoppers of Lufkin at 639-TIPS!
