One Person Dead in East Texas Cock Fighting Incident

The Henderson County Sheriff’s office was called to the East Texas Medical Center in Athens after a 21 year old who man was brought in with a fatal gunshot wound.

Investigators have said the victim, Luis Rodriguez was shot during an argument at a chicken fight on FM 1861 in Van Zandt County.

Investigators have already seized several roosters along with fighting paraphernalia , and the investigation continues. So far no arrests have been made.
