Registration Starts Next Week for Nacogdoches Boys Youth Baseball Association

Play ball!

That will be the sound echoed on diamonds next month when baseball takes center stage in sports viewing.

Being a volunteer in youth sports for most of my life, I still get a kick about watching the T-ballers play in organized sports for the first time, and watching their expression after hitting the ball.

The Nacogdoches Boys Youth Baseball Association will hold registration at University Mall on the following days:

Wednesday, January 30  from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday, February 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The leagues consist of "Prep/T-Ball" (ages 4-6), "Farm" (ages 7-8), "Minor" (ages 9-10), Major (ages 11-12), and "Boys" (ages 13-14).

The "prep" fee is $45, with the remaining divisions at $80.  Birth certificates are required for new players.
