Coffee is part of life for many of us.

Before making the big decision about whether or not to become pregnant, I asked my doctor if I could still consume my daily 2.5 cups of coffee during pregnancy. It’s a must. If I have a sip less than that, I can feel it. And I knew I may not survive pregnancy if I had to ween myself off, or worse yet, quit cold turkey.

If I could drink coffee while pregnant, then ok, I’d do more forward with the baby-havin’. If coffee was off limits during pregnancy, then that would just be a life change too huge to handle. Must have coffee!

The doctor said I could have one cup per day during pregnancy, and now I have three healthy daughters. Yada, yada, yada.

Many of us are addicted to our java. How much do you drink?

Dunkin Donuts and CareerBuilder.com commissioned a survey that says 63 percent of workers who drink coffee need two cups or more each and every workday. Twenty-eight percent drink three cups or more. Those are probably the people you see sipping it all day long. (The ones with coffee breath.)

Workers who need coffee to get through the workday the most are:

•Food Preparation/Service Workers
•Scientists
•Sales Representatives
•Marketing/Public Relations Professionals
•Nurses (Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
•Editors/Writers/Media Workers
•Business Executives
•Teachers/Instructors (K-12)
•Engineering Technicians/Support
•IT Managers/Network Administrators

I suppose we could all be addicted to worse things.
