Today will be a warm day, but don't expect it to last.

If you're the type that crawls out of bed in the morning and walks out to the driveway to pick up the newspaper in your pj's, you'll get a blast of cold air on Friday morning. You might want to grab a blankey!

A few cool fronts have passed through East Texas this fall, but this Canadian front that's on its way today will be the strongest yet. How cold will it get?

To put it in perspective, the last time we felt this type of chill was back in March. Temperatures will likely be in the 50's all day on Friday, and with the wind, it may feel cooler than that. We might hit 60 on Friday, but for high school football on Friday night, it will definitely feel like the temperatures are in the 40's. You may have to cover up the cool school logo t-shirt with a big fat coat.

The cold weather will stick around through the weekend, but by Halloween on Wednesday we'll rebound and have a nice sunny day with a high around 73. Halloween should be PERFECT, with temperatures just right for trick-or-treating.

We love fall! We just wish there was a little more room for it between summer and winter in Texas.
