Still riding high off the release of Eat the Elephant, their first album in 14 years, A Perfect Circle made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night (April 25). Maynard Keenan, Billy Howerdel and the boys performed “So Long, And Thanks for All the Fish” and “TalkTalk” on the Kimmel stage.

A Perfect Circle’s newest album of originals looks like it’s on track for a successful first week. According to polls, Eat the Elephant is expected to sell between 52,000 and 57,000 copies this week, which would almost certainly give the album a Top 10 debut on Billboard.

It’s a little strange to see A Perfect Circle perform in complete daylight, but although Maynard wasn’t completely shrouded in shadows, he gave a great performance along with his bandmates. “TalkTalk” was the banger of the set, with slightly altered lyrics, since Keenan can’t say “Get the fuck out of my way” on television.

With the band’s three stage riders intact, they also tackled “So Long, And Thanks for All the Fish,” giving the Kimmel audience a joyous track about the destruction of humanity. Apparently, the song was cut off on TV for time, but those who missed the whole shebang can catch it now on YouTube.
