As expected, Black Sabbath announced Friday that they are reuniting to record their first studio album in 33 years with Ozzy Osbourne.

Following the album's release in the fall of 2012, the band will also launch an extensive tour, including North American tour dates, and a headlining spot at England's Download Festival in June.  The album will be overseen by legendary hard rock/metal producer Rick Rubin, and will mark the group's first disc with Ozzy since 1978.  The band made the announcement at a press conference at the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles, which is where Sabbath made its L.A. debut with a concert exactly 41 years ago.
