Multiple outlets have reported that legendary horror movie actor Sid Haig passed away over the weekend. He was 80-years-old.

Haig's most well known role was that of Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie's Firefly film series, that included "House of 1,000 Corpses", "The Devil's Rejects", and "3 From Hell".

In addition to his role's in the Rob Zombie films, Haig appeared in classic 60s and 70s TV shows like Batman, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, Get Smart, Fantasy Island, Gunsmoke, and many more.

His film credits also include the original Foxy Brown, Diamonds Are Forever, THX 1138, Kill Bill Vol. 2, and Night of the Living Dead 3D. Its rumored that he was offered the role of Marsellus Wallace in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, a role that went to Ving Rhames.

Haig also worked on the movie Brotherhood of Blood, that was filmed in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area.
