Celebrate ‘GenTX’ Day on Friday, May 3

The Deep East Texas P-16 Council and Generation Texas announces May 3 as GenTX day!

GenTX day is a statewide initiative focused on building a college bound, career ready culture across the state.

Similar to the sweatshirts that Bill Cosby wore in "The Cosby Show", GenTX is about wearing a college t-shirt so that the area elementary, middle and high school students will see people all around them united in their belief in higher education.

Join the community on Friday, May 3, and spark conversations about choices that can inspire and change a student's life.  Put on a college t-shirt for GenTX day!
