Country Legend Gary Morris to Perform This Friday in Livingston
Gary Morris ruled the country music charts in the 1980s with huge hits like 'Baby Bye Bye', 'The Love She Found in Me', 'Second Hand Heart' and 'The Wind Beneath My Wings'. This Friday, October 15, Morris will be performing at Alma's Courthouse Whistle Stop Cafe in downtown Livingston.
Even if you have seen Gary Morris live in concert before, you've never seen him in this kind of setting. In fact, you probably haven't seen any concert in this type of setting.
Alma's Courthouse Whistle Stop Cafe is a landmark in Polk County. The home cooking is fantastic and the daily down home conversations are a staple of this restaurant, as well. They're usually open for just breakfast and lunch, but owner Tracey Kincade along with a collaboration with Stryk TV decided to launch a dinner concert series. Only 100 tickets are sold for these concerts and those purchasing tickets are treated to a delicious dinner, a chance to meet the performer, as well as be treated to a very unique and intimate performance. If you have ever seen performances from Larry's Country Diner, it's kind of the same concept.
Here's a video of Gary Morris performing at that venue.
So...imagine a relaxed setting at a rustic diner eating a fabulous meal and being entertained with a star who not only had numerous chart-topping hits, but a voice so full and melodic that he was cast in several Broadway productions.
