Food trucks are one of the most popular things in the food service industry today. Not only are they convenient for the operators, considering that they can drive and set up shop in so many locations without being tied down to a specific spot, but they're also convenient for the customers who can walk right up and order.

We have a lot of awesome food truck options right here in Deep East Texas. But there's one that is turning heads.

Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck

Cousins Maine Lobster has a chain of food trucks that operate from coast to coast. According to their website, they have over 60 trucks operating in the U.S. And one of those trucks makes its way - regularly - into Deep East Texas.

Out of the four Texas locations, the Houston truck has been known to make it to both Nacogdoches and Lufkin periodically, showing up at HTeaO, Cavender's and other locations. Now, I will admit, when I first heard about a food truck specializing in lobster coming into Deep East Texas, I was a little doubtful. However, when I saw the credentials of the company, it cut way down on my doubts.

According to an article from CNBC in 2016, the founders of Cousins Maine Lobster started out with one food truck, got a chance to get on the TV show "Shark Tank", succeeded there, and have grown into what it is today.

Now, like I said, one of their trucks is making the rounds through our neck of the woods. If you see the truck, you're bound to notice a banner across the top of the truck with "as seen on..." with all different logos. It includes "Good Morning America", "Food Network", "TMZ", "Shark Tank", and more.
