The Buc-ee's Locations Deep East Texas Locals Are Asking For

The other day we posted a question to the Q107 Facebook page asking where people would like to put a Buc-ee's location in Deep East Texas. Well, the Deep East Texas crowd didn't disappoint, and they didn't hold back when giving their opinion on where the Beaver Nugget superstore should set up shop.

Opinions for Buc-ee's Locations in Deep East Texas

After posting that question to Facebook, we received over 100 responses from people all over the place. Of course, there were some comments like, "Nowhere" and other negative posts about how they caused traffic issues and things like that, but for the most part, people had some pretty good ideas about where to put Buc-ee's in this region.

There were also some rather questionable location ideas, along with some locations that aren't even in Deep East Texas. Like I've said before, we generally talk about Deep East Texas as going from as far south as Jasper and Newton Counties, as far west as Houston County, and as far north as Shelby County - Cherokee and Rusk Counties are sometimes included on the north side. That means that cities like Palestine, Cleveland, Huntsville, and Longview weren't included in this list.

The Reasons Behind These Deep East Texas Buc-ee's Location Ideas

The other part of the question that we asked had to do with why people chose those locations. The answers there provided a lot of good insight too. We got answers ranging from highway intersections, to how Buc-ee's would benefit towns, to the possibility of providing jobs for college students. And of course, there are always, "Because we want one there. " This is also a legitimate argument by the way.
