East Texas Tire and Electronics Collection Day is Saturday, September 8

Not only is Saturday, September 8, but it is also recognized for being "Tire and Electronics Collection Day".  Kind of like trash pick-up, except you go to them.

The City of Lufkin and Angelina/Beautiful Clean invite you to the City of Lufkin Solid Waste Regional Recycling Center, located at 500 Southpark Drive,  between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Items accepted include up to eight car or light truck tires.  There's a $2.00 fee for each tire over that eight limit.  Semi-trucks are $5.00 each and excluded from the "free" package.  Also, no off-road tires will be accepted.

Got a small engine battery?  Old televisions, or computer equipment?  All will be accepted free of charge.
