From Borat to Freddie Mercury

You might better know him as Ali G, Borat or Bruno, but soon you'll be able to see Sacha Baron Cohen as Freddie Mercury.

Brian May says work is “now fully underway” on a planned movie about the band’s late singer, Freddie Mercury.  May said screenwriter Peter Morgan “has delivered a first draft of the movie, which everyone is very excited about.”

May isn't the only one who is excited about it.  May writes on his website that Cohen “is chomping at the bit to get into the role, in a way which certainly would delight Freddie.”

In a somewhat ironic twist, Peter Morgan’s screenwriting credits include the 2006 film, The Queen.
